From low yields of less than 3 tons per acre, this old vine zinfandel was handpicked, sorted meticulously, cold soaked for 4 days before being fermented for 14 days. The malolactic fermentation took place in the barrel. The wine was racked 2 times before being bottled in July of 2019.
Back again is our Napa Valley Zinfandel with the usual profile of ripe fruit with intensity. It has plenty of complexity with blackberry, cherry, blueberry, cinnamon, tobacco flavors. Try it over two days and watch the fruit core develop beautifully. We think you will enjoy it over the first few years with lots of different dishes.
